Interesting food for thought. I'm a few years away from dealing with this as a parent, but I'm very against the concept of parents allowing kids to drink under their roof. It's illegal and dangerous and sends the wrong message to kids.

I was worried when I first saw your list of tips for hosting a party - I thought you were going to give ideas on how to break the law! Then I realized it was to prevent the kids from using chemicals. whew!

Thanks!
Missy

Oh no! I'm all about the Law and following it (Even if I broke a few as a teenager)! I don't think it's a good idea to throw a party for your teens in the 1st place, but I know many parents would rather have their kiddos partying at their home.

However, in MN we don't have any social host laws. And you can actually allow your own child to drink in your home, but I don't advocate that you do that, of course!

Thanks!
Anna
