What an incredibly powerful post. I have never experienced adult bullying to the extent you have talked about here, but as a 17 year old I was bullied by a teacher which made life rather miserable. You don't often think of it as something that goes beyond the playground but it really can have a huge effect on people.

It will be really interesting to read your post with suggestions for dealing with it / moving forwards. I think it will be useful to more people than one might imagine (unfortunately).

Moving, engaging, valuable, current, and very interesting reading! Well done!

PS Love the picture and the connection!

Boy, do I remember those days! I'm glad you pulled through and now can write about it to help others.

Thanks for your support during that time, Heidi!

Thanks for your comment. I am continually amazed at how many people have experienced bullying whether as a young child on a school bus or as an adult in the workplace or sometime in between. Regardless of the specifics, it is wrong and hurtful. Thanks for sharing and for reading.

Thanks for your kind words, TLM!

are you still reading the comments?
I am bullied every day at work. My manager yells at me in front of my team and in her office regardless if the door is open or close. My team and others have made comments that they feel really sorry for me

Oh yes, I'm still here and reading comments! Thanks for sharing your experience. I'm so sorry to hear it though! I'm afraid the only way to truly stop it is to leave that employment and find another job. That is not the easiest thing to do, but situations such as yours often end in the person being bullied getting terminated eventually. Good luck to you & hopefully you will find a good solution to this issue soon!

Thanks again for your comment.

Believe it or not...it happens in the PTA!! I'm personally dealing with our President who literally ran off our VP before the school year started. She does what she wants, and doesn't follow the rules. I stood up to her and now I am on her list!! It doesn't help reporting her to the school or the State PTA. While I am a professional, confident woman, this has caused me emotional distress and I am having difficulty sleeping at night. I am considering hiring a lawyer. While she may be the bully---I am the one who is financially well off, and can bring a bigger gun to the show......I hate to do that, but sometimes it is necessary to put people back in their places.

I am dealing with this experience. I denounced and nothing happened. I pray everyday for this to be solve
