Great post! Since I am an over-thinker, I am very careful of what I post and try to mark as much as possible to friends only. I don't even update my status often, because I over-think what I am posting. I wish other people were too. I have family members online that are young and sometimes I want to smack them upside the head for the comments or pictures they have posted.

Wow, the stats about babies online presence are very interesting. I'm looking forward to Wednesday's post because I'm betting you'll have better tips than the ones I see most places about obvious things like facebook privacy settings.

Great info! I had some issues earlier this year with my Facebook account and I have now been very restrictive with who I allow as friends. I was on a trip this weekend and discovered the "places" application.....after I got home, I thought, although I do know my "friends" quite well, that app is actually not real smart to use when out of town! I am anxious to see your Wednesday post.

This is an eye opener! I'm always freaked out about how much to divulge about my children or my life online. There are so many crazy people in the world that you have no choice but to think twice. I can't say I disagree with those 2 court decisions requiring they hand over their passwords, social media just isn't a private place for your every thought. In fact, many social media sights, like Facebook, are constantly finding loopholes to justify sharing your profiles with advertisers, etc.

Sorry about the weather there. I must say your story makes me think twice about complaining when our lights went out only for a second due to a thunderstorm late this morning.
