No words are necessary to explain this priceless photo. It's plain to me the bond between grandpa and grandson. The quiet, serious discussion about who knows what is typical of these two. They have always had a special bond even though they aren't often physically in the same location.
They are so similar in mind and spirit, and I'm amazed by it every day. I love this photo for all that is left unsaid. To me, the photo speaks for itself and says everything about what I know and love about these two.
What you don't know is that just a few minutes after I snapped this photo at my parents' house last September, one of the bolts holding the swing to the porch ceiling broke, leaving my dad and Darling 1 hanging cattywampus; thankfully, no one was injured. But it caused a great ruckus in the house and in dad's and Darling 1's style they told and re-told the story with great drama and excitement.
