2012 was a rough year full of many lessons and blessings, humps and bumps, losses and gains for our family. It is with great anticipation we begin this new year. The deep well of eternal optimism within me tells me, it's going to be a good one.
But at this moment I pause to reflect on the things I will take with me from 2012:
-
I CAN do all things through Christ who strengthens me;
-
Laughing with old friends is some of the best medicine;
-
My kids and I can survive a 3 week driving trip through 7 states {& even enjoy most of it};
-
People rarely read all the information all the way through; be prepared to answer the same questions over and over;
-
Jimmy Johns really is Freaky Fast;
-
I don't have to please everyone or be careful when it comes to readers who don't agree with me. While I respect other's views; this is my opinion and my blog;
-
You can find some true gems in the Free Section on Craigslist;
-
Loss of pets is a VERY difficult part of life, but a new kitten and pup pet can help, especially when there are similarities;
-
God is always listening, doesn't forsake and will sustain; even when it all looks very bleak;
-
When all else fails, grin and bear it;
-
I haven't ruined my kids yet {at least I don't think so} and I'm trying to be patient; and
-
I'm OK with who I am, faults and all.
Whether 2012 treated you with kindness and a gentle touch or knocked you to your knees and made you feel a deep sense of failure as it did me, I wish you a very Happy, Peaceful and Prosperous New Year in 2013. How thankful I am that we get to begin again every 12 months. Over and out...
Anna
